Fic: A Horse and A Unicorn + some personal new year-ish updates
Happy New Year everybody!
I thought I’d start the new year out with some schmoopy, old fic (which also has been lying around my hard drive for over a year I think, and cleaning up and finishing old stuff feels good). Also, alycat demanded pregnant unicorn Jensen, and what alycat wants, she usually eventually gets (because I love her very much).
Title: A Horse and a Unicorn - A Love Story

Summary: Jared is an optimist. But since he knocked up beautiful, perfect Jensen, he can't help but wonder how long his good luck is gonna last.

Notes: This is, once again, utterly and completely alycat's fault, because apparently there needs to be pregnant unicorn!Jensen. Obviously. Very, very loosely inspired by Fantasia's interpretation of Beethoven's sixth. Many thanks to weresoclose for the beta!

In more personal notes, last year was pretty hectic, so I didn’t get as much writing done as I wanted (I still wrote almost 200k, which sounds like an awful lot, but is 100k less than the year before. So… I guess I still wrote a lot but it didn’t feel like a had as much time for writing as I wanted lol). The first half of the year definitely was the highlight, with spn_reversebang ( 29 Days, J2, ~30k, werewolves&vampires) and spn_j2_bigbang ( Chasing Darkness, J2, ~85k, space AU) where I got to work with the wonderful kinkajou and lightthesparks respectively. Then, of course, I got to visit my darling alycat, which was just awesome (And so much good food, yum). I manages to finish most of my auction fills *coughs* and spn_masquerade was once again a total blast. After that school kinda caught up with me, but, in celebratory notes, I finally registered for my theses. That of course means that I won’t have much more time for writing until next summer, but I’m finally almost an adult. Yay?
Due to my looming theses, I didn’t sign up for rbb and it’s doubtful that I’ll be able to do bigbang this year, but I still have two auction fills I am definitely going to write and I plan on sticking with smpc. I can’t be all work and no play for 8 months.
I also managed to post my spn_j2_xmas gift ( Armae Armorum, J2D, ~10k, wereanimals and magic) for the lovely saltandbyrne mostly on time and I received an awesome gift from laisserais with Jeff/Jensen in space, which is still a WIP but I’m keeping my fingers crossed and hope it’ll be finished soon :)
