Oh I love Britain
Actually,this weather is pretty amazing. It's all stormy and the wind is craaazy-I'm pretty sure a tree's gonna come crashing down any minute. It's the kind of weather where you have to really fight to stay upright, and your hair just blows everywhere but you don't care, cuz you feel all small.
It's so dark out too, I really wish I was in my room snuggled under the covers with tea, looking out the skylight and hearing the wind and rain crashing around.
Sometimes summer is over-rated; storms are where it's at.
Reminds me of when I was 5 and there was a huuuge storm and it pretty much blew all of our tiled roof off the cottage, and caravans over-looking the beach blew over the cliff. There were mattresses and kettles and things strewn everywhere; so bizarre, and everyone was trying to retrieve stuff in the pissing down rain and gale force winds. And, there was a massive stream of water running down the beach from where the drain thing had burst and it was about 5 ft wide and completely murky brown and if you fell in you were gone!! I recall all the sand building up around the sides of this weird river thing on the beach and we'd try and kick it into the water before our parents shouted at us that we'd be swept away.
