So the last time I posted I was informed I had to have surgery. Well, I've had the surgery. I went in last Monday at the ass crackers of dawn to have my cyst removed.
You know when you see movies where someone is on a gurney; they get wheeled into this room with bright lights and tables with surgical instruments on them and 8 doctors above them. Well, that was me and it really happens that way. They put you on a gurney and wheel you down a never ending hall way into a freezing cold room where there are 10 people with masks staring down at you. It's scary! I was convinced I was going to have a panic attack. You don't really think about how scary it all is until you get there.
Anyhoo, the surgery went well. They put me in this crazy cast that looks like a moon boot or something. Some people have said transformer boot but it's all the same, it's FREAKIN' huge! Anyway It has this little cooler that I can attach with a hose that puts ice water into the cast. It's a pain in the ass but the concept is kind of cool.
5 days later my surgeon took the dressings off and I got to see my incision. It is disgusting looking. Not grossly infected or anything but the stitches make it look weird. It's about the length of pen maybe a little smaller, point is it's gross. Another good thing is that my stitches come out the day I walk for graduation so I won't be in the cast.
And what all of that came down to was, now I am a gimp equip with moon boot.
...Nice
