Dear Dr. Allin,

It's so hard to say goodbye to a person you saw everyday! I have never met anyone who could put more philosophy, righteousness, and vindication into one sentence. Outside of the chemistry classroom, Dr. Allin taught me things even when he wasn't trying to. Even in dying he taught me a lesson. He taught me that the human body is a fragile thing that can be destroyed in a matter of seconds, but the nature of that human being will never die and will be remembered through the people he or she has touched through a lifetime. Dr. Allin’s spirit and physical presence touched the lives of many people and he will be remembered forever by those who loved him. One of those people is me. Heres to you Dr. Allin...teacher...mentor...friend.
