The neighbour guy just came by. He said he could probably fix the car. I'm just a tiny bit worried as to my dad's reaction. He quite clearly stated that he didn't want him to do it. Oh, the drama ( Read more... )

GAH. Sincere condolences. I'm terrified of having to deal with stuff like that some time in the not too distant future.
Sometimes I feel that I'm absolutely useless when it comes to "grown-up" stuff like that. I mean, I've never even fixed a doctor's appointment myself (partly because we've never had a family doctor) - how on earth am I ever supposed to be able to deal with stuff like taxes?

Um, yeah. End of minor outbreak of solidary panic. :P

Grown-up stuff is not for the faint of heart. Grown-up stuff that involves two different sets of bureaucracy is just indescribable. Kafka would be proud.
