1.05 - Bloody Mary
The Bloody Mary legend, the fun that was had in fifth grade. Not much to say other then it being an interesting take on the tradition. Going after those with guilty secrets rather than those who call her up. The bleeding eyes were a bit excessive though. Mary herself was lackluster. More set up for the major plot to follow.
1.06 - Skin
Shapeshifter, not much interesting in this one, other than the way the Shifter uploads Dean's issues and lays it out to Sam. Good to know that Sam keeps in touch with his university friends.
1.07 - Hook Man
Urban legend gone wrong.
1.08 - Bugs
Another nod to the Native American heritage. Strangely, also not too interesting. It's the attack of the killer insects, and the swarm at the end did seem to end a little too fast. It didn't seem like they'd been batting back bugs for hours.
1.09 - Home
Best episode! At least I think so. They go back to Kansas to save a woman and her kids who are living in their old house. We find out Sam has psychic powers. And we get a little scene where they meet up with their mom's ghost. She tells Sam she's sorry, but that's a revelation that pans out in the fourth season. We sort of meet their missing father, who really is not in the running for greatest dad of the year.
1.10 - Asylum
Anger issues abound in this one. It seems some people don't have the common sense to avoid haunted buildings.
