I refuse to get out my Ye Olde Poetree books and look for similar epics, lmao. I don't even like the kind that go on and on...except for Le Belle Dame Sans Merci, and a couple of others. No Whitman! No "Chambered Nautilus"!

I ~won't!!!

~eyes stacks of books, wondering where she left that certain one

It makes for lengthy reading, at least.

I also like The Lady of Shalott, and Thomas the Rhymer-but at least they have plots that ~move, lol.

Loreena McKinnit did a great rendition of Lady of Shalott. I keep hoping she'll do Le Belle Dame Sans Merci-it seems like something she'd enjoy. Are you familiar with her? I LOVE her version of 'Bonny Swans'!!!

She came highly recommended, but I haven't heard a lot of her works beyond the ones on "An Ancient Muse"

I haven't heard that album;but I like The Mask and Mirror, and The Visit. I remember that Mummer's Dance song from The Book of Secrets, but nothing else. It's been a while!

I don't like ~all of her work, but what I do like, I like enough that I'm always happy I got the album.

I'd love to see what she could do with Sinead O'Connor or The Chieftains. \0/

Celtic styled music has always been great to listen to, along with the lyrical ballads, etc.

Do you know which album "Penelope's Song" is on? Or "The Highwayman"?
