The new dress form is still in it's box. I need to set her up so I can get to work on hemming and bustling. I'm not sure where I'm going to do this. The disaster area (formerly known as "sewing room") doesn't have enough floor space right now to put everything on her and still be able to comfortably work on/around it. So. Lotsa stuff happening in the last week, most of it bad.

The absolute worst was losing Safia.

The stitches, they are out. Yay! It hurt like bejeebus because of the crusty bits being ripped off with the stitches, but I wasn't going to let pain stand between me and a thread-free face. I didn't get very far on the bodice last night. I didn't like how flimsy the loopy tabs were looking, so I want to rethink how I make them.
