That feels better...

Greetings!

This post is brought to you by the fact that the little "time since you last posted" counter on livejournal always makes me feel guilty!

:D

Things have been going well in the world of Ash - Spring seems to have finally decided to show itself, though the nights continue to be rather chilly. The days are sunny and it were not for the wind, they would be quite warm. The flowers in my garden have survived through continual little frosts and are possibly close to blooming.

Finn and I have attended our first event of the season - Penguin Crusade - and had an absolutely wonderful time! It was great to see some familiar faces that have not been seen for quite a while and to actually be able to spend time with them rather than having them be so busy with other things that they cannot spare the time for visiting. (Which tends to happen at the larger events).

Wylfryd and Rhiannon were lovely enough to let us stay in their home - there was much rejoicing - and I think that we managed to only leave two items at their place.

The drive to Kitimat was long, but beautiful! I have never been to that area (the furthest I have been in that general direction was Smithers and then Hyder, Alaska) and I was very thankful for the opportunity to go! As long as our situation allows it, we will definately be there next year!

Had fun in the Degrassi class, learnt a bit and enjoyed putting together what Finn and I have been learning of Fabris and matching it or comparing it with the different drills in Degrassi. Finn and I got to shoot our new bows for the first time ever (Finn got a bow for his birthday and I got a bow for his birthday ... then I felt guilty for getting myself one as well so I got him a quiver as well!). It was strange shooting at a higher poundage but I think that by the end of this summer I will be much better!

The feast was incredibly good and much enjoyed - I think that I ate FAR too much!

It was hard to leave, I wish that we could have had a few more days off, but we will have to wait for Quad to have a real vacation.

I am excited as I will be starting my Intersession courses soon (May 12th) and I have all of my classes organized and booked for next year! I am in everything that I need to be - and only a little nervous.

I have officially caught up on all of my emails and am now catching up on a few small things before going outside to rake the yard of leaves that were missed last year and to them work on some embroidery. (Yes, I have gotten back into embroidery after many years of not doing it).

oh! And I was able to get a pedal for my sewing machine (which I thought would never happen) and a lovely older gentleman (Jack of Jack's sewing Machine Repairs) was able to get her ready to go for me (and even complimented the machine saying that it was a good one!) and now I will be on my way to learning how to sew.

Woot!

(Lots of exclamation marks in this post, I must be happy *laughs*)

That is about it for now - gotta get some things ready for this weekend (Finn's official birthday party - tropical themed - is this saturday night).

Ciao!
