After 158years, Lehman brothers got hit badly, Merrill lynch got brought over.
I’m working for a US company. Can’t imagine the stress level felt in the office.
The quietness- no one dare to touch PAs, everything got stuck
Outflows were threatening.
Tones of emails and information about the market updates now are disheartening.
More red arrows are pointed downwards on the share price. Now, you will have to agree that your favorite color is green instead of red.
I personally am not very motivated at work with such news zooming in and out recently.
Now I reckon the best thing to do is to get away and do anything else apart from work and looking at the numbers drop. Probably stay home the whole day and promote 3-4 levels up in the ‘gui hou zai’ application in FB. But the thingy is, I don’t have enough leaves for me to do that. I’ve blocked 10 days whole straight for Christmas, and I have been taking lotsa of half-days on Fridays for the past 8 months, which left me 2 days for emergency.
I guess I should switch to the job that I always introduce myself as.
Guy: Hi, I’m XXX, you are?
Me: Celine
Guy: So are you currently still schooling or studying?
Me: unfortunately, I’m a full time CPF contributor now.
*Laughs*
Guy: So what do you work as?
Me: I sell toilet bowls.

Guy: Are you serious?
