Trust yourself...ladymerceyFebruary 24 2004, 19:13:21 UTC
I do not remember where I heard this quote, and Oh how I love my quotes...it is the essence of life for me. I have a huge book of quotes that just go on and on about past and future. Some of these were written hundreds of years ago but the meanings still hold true in the here and now! Fantastic, the human condition.
*The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.*
I sometimes find that quote particularly helpful, as I doubt many things; choices, actions and even my own thoughts. There are those people that are so sure of themselves and never question their potential...those are the ones I fear. Not to mention how unattractive it is, those cocky ones.
I think that everyone at some point in their lives looks in the mirror, makes eye contact with themselves and is at awe with what they see. Not a single soul cannot deny that there is a time when they wonder, what is going on?
Here are some tidbits I looked up out of curousity...yea MEOW!
*The face is the mirror of the mind, and eyes without speaking confess the secrets of the heart. Saint Jerome (374 AD - 419 AD)
*Life is just a mirror, and what you see out there, you must first see inside of you. Wally 'Famous' Amos (1936 - )
and last but not at all least... *We learn our virtues from our friends who love us; our faults from the enemy who hates us. We cannot easily discover our real character from a friend. He is a mirror, on which the warmth of our breath impedes the clearness of the reflection. Ricther (?)
The site I go to when I need my fill of quotes is:
Anyone can search for quotes by word or author, which helps me because I have no idea what I am looking for to spark my interests sometimes until I find it within.
I am curious to speak with you further Mr. C, I am really worried and wondering what exactly has you so melancholy. Just trust yourself. That is all you can do, it is what gets me through the day. I love you....more than you know.
