So the weekend started off pretty good. The clarinet football time did not quite pull through there were 4 of us there but still a good time was had and lessons were learned like it’s funner to sit on the bench, and never throw the ball to Devin. Then out to dinner we went, had a few people leave and a few join good times, pretty uneventful but it was nice to end the night with some hot chocolate… or in my case a mocha.
For those that don’t know I was supposed to go to an ISD (Indiana School for the Death) football game, shop with Karen in Indy, then stay over night with RaeAnn (thanks!) and than go to a Deaf (yes Deaf is capitalized Deaf and deaf are 2 different things, for those nerds out there) church service. Then head back home. Well, this of course is not what happened. I woke up Saturday morning to find out Karen was overwhelmed and could not make it up to Indy with me, my brain went AHHHH! And I frankly scared myself with a massive panic attack (if you want to know more ask) after 2 hours I calmed down enough to get in the car and go. After an hour and a half because of construction, I got there to find that the ISD website was wrong, it’s not a home game….um great… so I came home totaling a 3 hour drive and 2 hours of panicking for nothing. Luckily it was Laura to the rescue as she had planned a clarinet dinner which turned out to be a much needed release.
At dinner I learned that I am the sinner of the bunch…o:-) and how to play the sugar packet game. Someone randomly brought up the idea of using the hundred field for our own personal use….oh man. So of course we went, marched pre-game, Malaga, Malaguena, and then had 3 march offs, some beat up on Ashleigh time, and other random goodies then decided to march pre-game in cars… this point Seth is video taping and the only one not in a car when the band truck pulls up driven by will…AHHH we pick up Seth and make a run for it to my house where we spent 3 hours with 6 people on a couch. I must say I haven’t been this big of a dork in a long time…it was wonderful and an amazing bonding experience!!!
