Such a roller coaster of emotions today. My grandfather has been failing for quite some time now (he had a stroke 12 years ago and his health has grafually deterioated) and it looks like we will be saying goodbye to him this week. My mom and I spent the weekend with him and the nurses are amazed that he has made it through the past few days. He's always been a fighter. We got a phone call this morning and my mom went back up today, it is not looking good. We have expected this for years now, he's just not enjoying his life any more. It's not making it any easier though, especially on Mom since she was always so close with him.
On the other hand, today is a historic day. I have been glued to the television set and it's really a day filled with hope and optimism isn't it? I guess that's something that we can always have. Hope. Good luck Obama. We're pretty damn jealous right now up here, America.
