In an effort to be more economically conscious I have decided to limit personal expenditures to one purchase a week.
This week's is this I found in the clearance aisle at work:
I am so excited! Is it not the cutest little cake pan ever? I'm thinking it will be very nice to have for 2010 when the Olympics come to the country. Which ordinarily I could care less about but now that maple leaf cakes are involved, I might just have a change of heart.
I'm settling into my classes rather well this time around. Today I had my second War as Crime class which is pretty interesting except at times I found the prof seems to assume that the class is completely unfamilar with the topic at all...um hello I know what the Khmer Rouge was. I was getting tired of "Well you guys won't know about this but I'll talk about it anyway...". For my 'Gender, Sex & Nature' course, we have to pick a topic (any topic at all, ha ha broad much?) and present to the class the gendered implications of it. I think I'm going to go with something along with veganism...maybe just plain ol' meat consumption? Or maybe look at gender in the vegan targeted media? I think it will work well with the course because we'll be studying a bit on animal rights towards the end of the semester.
