I Can't Stand the Rain part 3 (literally AND figuratively this time)

Jul 13, 2004 13:04

It sucks. It's not even like, real rain. It's mist mingled with shit and suckingness.

It all started yesterday. I started the day by making someone I love sad. (Sowwy.) Then I had to go to work, and I got out of the subway at 14th Street and 7th Ave, and it was raining, and I had to walk all the way to campus from there, and I had no umbrella, and all I had was a dirty towel in my backpack of dirty laundry, and so I took it out and wore it over my head all the way to campus, and people thought I was scary, and that's because I was. I was cracking up the entire way, and every time I caught sight of my reflection with a big purple Harry Potter hijab, I laughed even harder.

So at least that was fun. It was all downhill from there. I had to go home overnight to petsit, which means that no one was home to pick me up from the train station. Fortunately Ciaran was able to come get me, and I figured it'd stop raining by morning and I'd be OK.

But no. It was fucking raining, and I had to walk to the station. At least this time I had an umbrella, I guess. Not that it mattered. I was cold and wet on the train, and I am cold and wet now, and I'm hungry too. Waah waah. My self-pity is overwhelming.

PS-Remember that weird kid Joey who lived on our floor last year? I just saw him. Heh.
PPS-I'm also dirty and diseased and henceforth completely undesirable.

Quotes of the Day: "That sucks." ~the girl sitting next to me on the train must have said this 500 times as she talked on the phone incessantly, probably to every living being she knows on the planet
