HOLY FUCK. you dont even understand the importance of this moment. ill explain the story for those who do not know. when i was 7 i saw an episode of x files in my aunts house in iowa late at night when i was SUPPOSED to be asleep. ever since then ive had reoccuring dreams. that is the ONE episode that has forever stayed imprinted in my mind, and i never saw it ever again. and i still have at least 1 dream a month that plays THAT episode. and i never knew what episode it was. until NOW.
i decided i needed to go to a real x files expert. and so i did. i went to broman.
episode:
a black couple are in bed late at night when they hear a car door shut outside. The black man gets up and sees these people with weird faces and tells the wife to get under the bed, grabs a bat, and when they come in, tries to beat them up. but they kill him. they are about to leave when one smells something, and they look under the bed, AND THE WOMAN IS THERE. and then x files song (the truth is out there). Then scully and fox show up at this house and they see THE weird faced alieny people growing crops or something in the backyard, so they do a search of the house while alienys are outside and hear this muffled screaming. they roll out this board and on it is the black woman all bloodied up and her arms and legs cut off. etc.
so basically scary shit.
and ben informed me that it is infact called "HOME" of the 4th season. i was so excited but was stil skeptical. how can such a HUGE thing in MY life be summed up in 2seconds after all this anticipation. so i googled it. and what i found could have brought tears to my eyes if i was that emotional of a person. the EXACT images of the scary faced men, the woman getting rolled out from under the bed... all the images that had haunted me for so long.
ben also informed me that the episode had a lot of controversy because of insest and so on. 'Home' was the first episode of The X-Files to receive a parental warning when it debuted in 97, and Fox network vowed never to replay the episode.
and ben ALSO offered (once again being the fantastic x files patron that he is) to allow me to borrow the episode to conquer my unpacified fear.
dont get me wrong, im not an x files FANATIC, although a fan, i just needed to explain.
long entry.
scary shit.
