Police identify crash victim

GAINES TWP. -- A man who died in a broadside collision Sunday at Seymour and Baldwin roads has been identified as Dennis Marchand, 52, of Fenton.
State police said Marchand was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck south on Seymour Road about 2:20 p.m. when a Chevrolet Cavalier heading west on Baldwin entered the intersection and hit the truck.
Marchand died at the scene.
The driver of the car -- a 17-year-old Grand Blanc man -- was taken to Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc Township with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said speed likely was a factor in the accident and are continuing their investigation.
