Happy holidays. (You should read this.)

Tonight I saw and felt the lords love. I couldn't wait to come home and get my fingertips upon these keys to share my expirence with you.

my church had collected toys that the children at a near by shelter had wished for and brought them over tonight and had a Christmas party. Their eyes lit up as we carried all the packages in and placed them under the tree. My girls from the hair salon that I go to came in and painted the little childrens nails and put fake hairdye in the childrens hair etc. Later on a little girl who I feel in love with sat in my lap and made my hands clap all throughout the Christmas music Andy and Erin song and played for the kids. The children are amazing there. When the children started coming in they automatically wanted us to hold and play with them. Most loving children I've ever met. As my pastor called out the children's names one at a time they waited till all the gifts were given out and he said "ready, set, OPEN!" There was wrapping paper flying everywhere, and screams of excitement were heard very loud. Then I heard it. " AHHH COOL, THIS IS JUST WHAT I WANTED MAMA, JUST WHAT I WISHED FOR!" His mother just looked at him and smiled a smile that was filled with joy and appreciation that her son was able to receive something he had really wanted but assumed he couldn't get. That's when I teared up. I looked up at a friend and said " ... and this is what Christmas is all about." For one 10 year old boy this party and gift giving was his FIRST EVER CHRISTMAS. Imagine that.

The funnypart? I realized tonight that one can't ever do a good deed and not get something back in return. Tonight I helped make childrens christmas's amazing and I got back the feeling of joy and well doing.

If you do anything this year, please. Remember all that you have even if in your eyes is not alot or "enough". Love one another with everything and have a wonderful holiday.
