After reading multiple websites, blogs, and articles, I have come to see that the "American public" sees me as an idiot for following Bush. I just have a few things I wanted to point out and if anyone has any questions I will reply.
The War: The country is currently at war with Iraq due to terrorist acts that were committed against us, everyone knows that. But, people like to ignore the fact that the knowledge of these impending attacks was well known during the Clinton administration. Bush stepped into Clinton's pile of shit and cleaned it up the best he could. Secondly, a president can not send a country to war, only congress can. Congress voted to send us to Afghanistan and to Iraq, and Kerry voted yes both times. Finally, the funny idea that Kerry was going to pull us out of the war or use his magic to make it all better amuses me the most. Kerry had no intentions of pulling us out, he wanted to put more troops in for a longer period of time, peace with Kerry, haha.
Gay Marriage: I myself am sad that gay people are not allowed to get married, but neither side supported this. While, Kerry is for civil unions, the option for gay marriage was still closed.
Abortion: Again another issue both sides are against. But, my main issue here is to clear something up. Bush never tried to make abortion illegal. He attempted to pass a bill to make partial birth abortion illegal. For those of you who don't know, partial birth is when they cut the baby out and inject poison into it's neck, if that's not killing a baby explain it to me. Kerry and Bush are both against abortion, that is why I enjoyed that debate so much watching two people say the same thing from different angels. Kerry went on and on about daughters getting raped by daddy's needing abortions or something, anyway that's off topic.
Stem Cell Research: There is a rumor going around that Bush is against this and that isn't the case, he gave the researchers a large grant to get started and told them that they would have to get sponsored for the rest. From my pov if you are against something you attempt to shut it down, well Bush was the first president to ever give money to this research so I wouldn't say he is that against it.
By the way, I wasn't aware that voting machines could make their own decisions and just start voting for Bush b/c they feel it's the right thing to do. ??
These were the main issues I have seen being pushed by the media for the past couple of days and I am tired of it. If republicans are so dumb apparently democrats are blind and deaf b/c everything I talked about are things that Kerry talked about frequently and I attempted to avoid watching him on t.v. and I still caught it. Who is ignoring reality? I'm seeing blue people...haha
That is all.
