A hellish 12 hour drive later and I'm finally sitting pretty in a hotel room. It gets pretty sad when the happy things in life are those times when we get to book 2 consecutive days in the same hotel.
I did good on 3 hours of sleep and I only slept in the truck for the last 2 hours of the drive. Woke up to see the massive lights of Mexico.
I can probably throw a rock to Mexico from the hotel parking lot. It looks dirty and way too overpopulated. I'm not impressed.
Shoot me next time I complain about the cold. Please?!?! It's 75-80 outside.
Saturday I get to spend the whole day at a big ska festival..outside for the first festival I'm gonna get to work that I actually need to wear sunscreen for. (SPF 50, baby..can't let myself lose this pale fluorescent lighting/computer glare glow). Supposedly we're invited even though none of the bands we're promoting are playing (nor are any of our bands remotely ska..but cross promotion is OK sometimes). I'm still thinking we'll be tailgating in the parking lot all day and no one will have any clue as to what we're supposed to be doing. I wish boss man would just let us take care of details like that..I don't want to step on the label's toes when it's their jobs to hook stuff like that up..but I think we'd easily be able to talk our way into stuff if we knew about it in advance.
Today: Jager show in El Paso, TX
Tomorrow: drive to Vegas, get married
Saturday: big ska party in the desert..woohoo!
Later: on to northern Cali..all you NoCal peeps get in touch! (this especially means
YOU)
