Aaaaaaand DONE.
Well, that was fun. Things have been hectic, as people's lives often are. I am that lazy livejournal friend who never posts. I think I'm going to try to change that. Even if it's just little things. What follows are my excuses for why I haven't posted in forever, which are simultaneously what I've been up to these days.
I went back to school. You may remember that I graduated college about a year and a half ago, but that hasn't stopped me from continuing my education. Not grad school, which I still plan to attend once my finances are in order, but actually a step backwards, technically. I'm going to community college. I'm taking art classes. I started off as an art major in college, but ended up with a psychology major. Art is intimidating. So, 12 hours per week are spent creating things in a classroom setting. I loved it so much that despite the fact that it drains my time and energy I plan on doing it again next semester.
This artistic attempt led to several others. One of which is a mural on my nephew's wall in the house that my little sis just bought in the burbs. This has been a long process and the job becomes bigger every time I go out there to work on it. He wants animals on his walls, exotic ones, and animals that aren't actually seen together in nature, but in a natural setting. I'm making it work. So far I have a tiger, a zebra, and a hippo. Coming soon are several monkeys, alligators, a snake, elephants, giraffes, birds, some bugs, and an entire world they will inhabit peacefully. This may take years considering I have a full time job and other obligations that only let me go out there twice a month at most.
I've also had some medical problems. I might discuss that at a later date.
