Dear Lazyweb, I want to set up GNOME 2.18 like this:
the close button on windows in the top-left corner instead of the top right
a "shade" or "rollup" button on windows
my Kensington Expert Mouse (a trackball, confusingly) buttons like this:
- bottom-right: click (my thumb, I use it left-handed despite being right-handed)
- bottom-left: contextual menu, like the secondary button
- top-left: double-click
- top-right: don't really care, but click & hold is good
keyboard modifiers like this:
- the "Super" key ("Windows" or "Command" key) to be the keyboard/menu shortcut key, instead of "Ctrl"; in fact all shortcuts to include "Super" or function keys
- unmodified, "Shift", "Alt", and "Shift-Alt" on non-function keys for text characters, "Alt" for unusual characters such as accents
- "Ctrl" to still send the correct codes to a terminal
new terminal windows to be 100×50
I know KDE can do some of this...
