My friend's brother recently went for grad school interviews, and he got asked the same question at more than one institution.  I found this question quite fun, so I'm posting it here for you guys *g*

OH WOW, I suppose that would work, I never thought of this one! So awesome. But my friend would scream 'cheater', so for the sake of argument, let's say the switches aren't string-friendly. Uh, let's make them button switches instead...

Weeeellllllll, the door has to remain closed. And even if it's open, you can only go in once, so after you go inside, you won't be able to see or reach the switches. Remember there are three of them. It's a physics question, really, so, um, think about physical reactions that can happen ^^

okok, I'll give you the hints my friend gave me, they are NOT LEDs, and you can spend AS LONG AS YOU WANT outside before you go in :)
