Off to Band Camp!
Hey Everyone!
Well, I am off to band camp tomorrow! Please pray for me because I have this horrible cold, so I am coughing constantly, I sound like a guy, and my head feels like it is going to explode!!! What timing, huh?! So, yeah........oh well, I will just hope that I will get better really really soon. On a more positive note, I got a phone call from the wedding lady (who basically told me we were ripping her off and fired us)! She said that she decided to have us play in the wedding because, "I just can't do it, it just isn't right." So, I guess we are back on for the wedding ~ WHEW ~ that was close!
Oh my goodness! Did you guys watch the Belmont Stakes (horse race) yesterday?! Probably not......... Oh well, there was this horse named Smarty Jones and this was the last race he had to win to win the Triple Crown. If he would have won, he would be the first horse to do it in 26 years......but did he win?..........NO!!! I was so upset......now I don't know if I will ever see a horse win the Triple Crown!! ugh And it was really sad because like all of America was in love with Smarty Jones because he came into this undefeated in all of his racing career and he has an amazing story. About 1 1/2 years ago his trainer was shot and killed by his son-inlaw!! After that, Smarty's owner sold all of his horses, except for a few (including Smarty). Just last year he reared in the starting gate and fractured his skull, which almost destroyed any hope for him to race. Also, he is a tiny horse compared to all of the other horses he has raced against!! Now that I have totally bored you guys out of your minds............. Point is is that it was sooooo sad, especially since a class of like 2nd graders from Smarty Jones' home-town wrote little notes to him....... :( I don't know, it just seemed really sad.
Anyway, I won't be updating for a while because I don't get home from camp until Thursday! Well, I am going to go riding now, so talk to you all later!
