So I've decided that I am Carrie Bradshaw!!!
So last week was definatley an eventful week for me... I told you about the show on Tuesday, then of course the 2 day hangover that followed. One good thing about not going to work on Thursday is that I ended up bored, so I went downtown. After I ventured through the market a bit and re-acquainted myself with this gorgeous city I started to walk to the boys house, but decided to stop by Mike's sister Lindsay's place instead. We had a good hang out and a lot of good chats, she is such a nice person, I really feel that we can be good friends! Her roommate (Sara) came home a short while later and we ended up over at the boys house afterall, but it was totally Sara's idea!
Then of course came the big day... I went to work terrified of what my boss would say to me, but it turned out that the flu had been going around at work so I was safe (so long as I don't get sick for real)! We ended up going to Lone Star for lunch, then they surprised me with my first blizzard ice cream cake at about 3pm. After work I headed home to shower and ready myself for the fiesta!! I had a couple drinks with Jay before I headed on my way and I showed up around 7:30ish at Andies where I was greated by quesadillas, chips & salsa from Lone Star and... LIZ!!! I was so excited to see her! And of course everyone else who was there... Lamma, Andie & Emily! Lindsay and Sara showed up a short while later followed by Trevor and Tanner. Mike Matt and Angela showed up a little while after that and we headed to the backyard for drinks chatting and a good ole fashion fiesta!!!
Once I was feeling a little tipsy (but not hammered yet) and a little courageous, I decided that Mike and I needed a walk and a chat to sort things out for good.. there were just so many things I needed to know, in order to finally move on. We had a really good chat, he cares about me a lot, but he just doesn't have those feelings for me. He said for a while it felt like we were just friends, and when we would do stuff he would always feel bad after... I told him not to worry about that, I enjoy it so why not? I told him that I thought I loved him (because he didn't remember me telling him on Tuesday) and that he would be hard to get over. But he told me that I can do so much better than him, and that he wants to see me with someone else who will give me what he can't. As hard as it was to hear, and as much as I cried about it, I needed to hear it. I think I can finally move on, but it will be a while before I can start dating again. To be honest, the thought of dating terrifies me, I got so comfortable with Mike that I forgot about how scary it really is. Oh well it happens. So Mike ended up leaving the party so he could meet a friend downtown who was in town for just the night. Andie surprised me with my second blizzard cake, which was delish, but just did not agree with my tummy after all the jack.. so there it went. I ended up tagging along with Sara and Ty back to the boys house against Andie and Lamma's wishes. But really, I just needed one more night... and it was worth it!
The majority of the rest of the weekend was spent by me in my bed napping and watching Sex and the City (season 1 & 2 almost done in a week eep) then Jay had an amazing bbq for me Sat night followed by my third blizzard cake from DQ, enjoyed by Andie and Lamma as well who then brought me along to Em's party which was such a good time!! I'm so happy I went, I was able to see so many people who I haven't seen in ages. It was nice!!!
