Greetings darlings!
Been almost a year again since I updated this (if I waited a few more days it would be 12 months hehe), and I feel like I should post a new entry... Not sure why... Well okay I lie, I'm doing this so I can avoid study for a few more minutes ha.
Well to sum up my life for the last 12 months, I finished my undergraduate degree and had my graduation. I don't usually talk about my results, but even for me I'm proud of myself to say I finished my degree with a first class honours each of the four years. So yeah, all well and good!
You think I would have had enough of study right? Well, I'm a glutton for punishment it seems, and I went on to do a masters in Interactive Media. It's a 12 month masters, with lectures from the end of September until the end of March. We get April off to study (we don't get mid-terms and that makes it so we can get April off) and then we start our exams in May (first one is tomorrow, ahhhhh!). Then after the exams, we've got to work on a project for the summer and hand it up around the end of September. And then we're done!
It's been a busy year. We have 12 different modules, and we're getting an exam in all of these. The following is a quick overlook at what my exam timetable looks like;
04 May - Authoring
05 May - Audio Processing
06 May - Digital Publishing & Hypermedia Systems
07 May - Digital Video Compression & Delivery
10 May - Graphics and Graphic Design
12 May - Audio and Sound Engineering
14 May - Digital Video Capture and Packaging
17 May - Future & Emerging Interaction Technologies
19 May - 3D Graphics and Modelling
21 May - Internet-based Applications
24 May - Human Computer Interaction
26 May - Mobile Multimedia
Oh boy, it's going to be a busy month ha. I know it'll fly once they start, but the last few days I've lapsed into my usual pre-exam mode of "OH MY GOD I DON'T KNOW ENOUGH!!!", when in reality I know I know enough to pass at the very least. I push myself a lot though and expect a lot of myself, so I'm probably putting undue pressure on myself ha. Thanks to my mom and sister though, I've found a cure for these feelings of anxiety, and it comes in the form of a small bottle called "Rescue Remedy"! It's a little herb thing you spray into your mouth and it helps quell anxiety :) Sounds dodgy huh? Hehe. I promise though, it's not drugs. *Checks ingredients* Mostly flowers actually.
I'm also on a tonic thing packed full of vitamins under the orders of my mom. It's probably a good idea, I don't tend to eat very well during exams ^^' Plus I was sick last week and I think I flushed everything out of my system haha. Well one good thing can be said for being sick, best detox my body has got in a loooong time hehe. Next time though, I'll stick to drinking water to detox :)
Time for non-university related things!
The rest of my summer outside of doing the project will be spent getting ready for Amecon 2010!!! Yes, I'm off on a good ol' Amecon weekend away again this August and I can't wait! There's a very large gang of us going in comparison to what it has been before haha. When myself and my sister,
ryoura , went to our first convention in 2006 (Amecon) it was just the two of us. We met some fun people there, and when we went the next year we got to meet up with some of those great people again :) I didn't get to go to a convention in 2008, but 2009 was Ayacon! (AKA: Aya Revolution). Here I got to meet with some of the best people I know! There were a lot of great people there, but the highlight of the weekend was getting to meet
yuki_kiba_chan , Mistrix, and Shadow-Clone (not sure if you want your real names said or not and not sure if you all have LJs ^^'). Love you lots and lots guys! Can't wait to meet again at this year's Ame!
There are a few people from the boards that I can't wait to meet up with :) Specifically the Pandora Hearts cosplayers <3 There will be lots of crazy and random in that group I think hehe. Roll on August!
In addition to going to Amecon, I'm really spoiling myself and going to London Expo in October too! Two conventions in one year? CRAZY! Hehe. Well I'll be finished my masters at that point, and I want to do some fun stuff. Plus, I get to meet Yuki and Mistrix again!!! :D Me? Excited? That's an understatement! :D
Hm I think that should do it for now. It's almost half one the day before my first exam. I do believe I should be studying, yes yes? XD
Righto! Who knows how long it will be before I update this again haha. Until next time, take care everyone!
