Today was a good day. I finished most of my scanning and tagging before lunch break which meant the afternoon was going to be a breeze. Then, around 3pm, Mark (my long lost co-worker) came to visit so the rest of the day was spent catching up and joking around. This is why I'm a Curatorial Assistant and not a grocery store clerk. THEN... someone else dropped by:
GUS PIKE!
MCTV was interviewing him on the front lawn about his new movie "Sandstorm" and when they were done he came in and personally invited us all to screen the movie tomorrow night at Northern. It starts at 8pm and there's a question and answer period afterward. Apparently the film has already won about 20 film festival awards. I don't have to work tomorrow night so I think I might go.
No call from Chad tonight. I'm a little bummed out, but I don't expect a call every night or even every other night. It's just nice to hear his voice. I've been listening to "This is My Life" by Dallas Green a lot lately, especially with Chad gone. I'm not turning emo anytime soon, but it's such a sweet sounding song.
