Today is Oscar Niemeyer 100th birthday !
I'd like to apologize to him for a few years ago, when I was desperately looking of his date of death while working for my exams. Oscar Niemeyer is alive, still working and he's 100 today.
Oscar Niemeyer is a Brazilian architect (born Dec. 15th, 1907 if you can't guess) known for running the team of architects for the construction of the new capital of Brazil : Brasilia. He also designed most of the official buildings of the city (residential, commercial, governement buildings...). He's one of the most important architect in modern architecture and experimented with reinforced concrete (*o*). Have I mentionned he's still working ?
