A Lovely Story - Just Lovely...Wishing I Knew How to Vid...

I sat down earlier to read a story or two from the zine The Perfect Couple - that premiered at SHareCon.

I just finished Back in the Saddle by Kaye Austen Michaels. This sweet romantic story really tugged at my heart. It has some of the things I adore in S&H fiction - angst, a partner unintentionally hurting the other - but not understanding how deeply, a wounded Hutch, a "reveal" of that heart-soul deep love, and such tenderness, a spot-on portrayal of both guys.

Ahhhh...just wonderful.

I also love the setting in canon, as it aligns with my own vision. In many stories, the romantic/sexual dimension of their relationship appears later - post-series, etc. In this one, it's earlier in the series - and that's how I see it myself.

There is a musical element to the story, and the song & the plot would make such a darling S&H video. I can see it in my mind, but lack the talent to bring it to life...the song is "All I Know" by Art Garfunkel.

Back to the world of bathroom scrubbing and prepping for Sunday supper - but what a welcome interlude.

Tonight, more Distant Shores - another heart-tugger and written so wonderfully, each word is a jewel.

Hoping your day is fine, writes-
