John and I went to the midnight release of Final Fantasy 13 last night.. the employees were awesome and let us stay in the store until 11:45 so we didn't have to wait in the cold very long XD I played all night and have been playing most of today. LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Every minute I play I'm blown away by something. The graphics are breathtaking, the story events are fast paced, the battle system is fantastic, the characters have distinct and memorable personalities, the story is intriguing, and I completely forget my real life surroundings when I'm playing. Its incredible! I don't understand the bad critiques of FF13, seriously. I was extremely disappointed with Final Fantasy 12, I thought it was boring and lifeless and completely uninspired, I was worried that Final Fantasy games were going downhill. But FF13 is full of life and interesting characters, and has totally renewed my love for Final Fantasy. I can't sing high enough praise for this game, loving it!
Of course it's been released at such a crazy busy time, considering I have a bajillion things to plan and do before going to Japan (2 WEEKS AWAY AHHH). Next week Pokemon Soul Silver/Heart Gold comes out (Yay!), and the week after that I'm on a plane!
