Hard to believe it's already November 1.
HOUSE
- have no started-but-not-finished projects by Thanksgiving 2011
Weeeellll, this is now about 4 weeks away. I'm pretty sure that we're not going to finish ALL the "projects in process" but! A significant number of them have been knocked off the list. Since it's looking like we will be hosting Thanksgiving, I have a few more targeted that I'd like to get taken care of. And, of course, Jason is coming up with new ones he wants to do before then, hah!
- maintain a list of todos, and work on at least one every week (forward progress, not necessarily finished). Track via googledocs.
Clearly September's productivity was not going to last, particularly because our "free" time in October was much more limited. However, the following did get done:
* painted last piece of trim in the library (plus touched up the wall paint)
* finished installing the new drop ceiling on the back porch, installed trim around it, painted ceiling and trim
* one itty-bitty piece of trim added to the sewing room nook built-ins
* final coat of drywall mud on the patched kitchen ceiling
- remove two units of "extra stuff" from the house each month (where unit roughly equates to a 13 gal trash bag/bankers box/equivalent). Track for entire year.
A relatively light month here as well; I usually have at least one structured "decluttering" evening and that didn't happen. We did get rid of a box of old binders, a trashbag of construction debris, and a small bag of household misc. Running total: 62. (January - 9, February - 2, March - 5, April - 3, May - 3, June - 18, July - 8, August - 6, September - 5, October - 3).
HOBBIES
- Sew enough clothes that 1/3 of wardrobe is self-made (or significantly altered)
Finished 2 pair of corduroy pants - but now that I have worn them, I found an error that makes them uncomfortable. harumph! One long sleeved tshirt, and one casual knit skirt of the "embarassingly easy" variety. Next on the docket are some options for holiday-party-appropriate clothes.
- Start golfing consistently at/below 45/side
No golfing in October!
MISC
- Replace Jason's car, with no loan
Haven't even talked about this in a few weeks. Someday.
- Add one good habit/month. Track with daily calendar/stars.
Weeelll, I didn't even set an October goal. I think I'm going to re-re-hash the "daily 5 minute pickup" goal, plus the "1 evening/week of deep cleaning" and "1 evening/week of project progress". That should help with the prep for the holiday season.
