hungry

So this week I decided that I would write done the foods that I eat, and about what I think the calories are as an experiment to actually be able to see what I eat in a week. This is mainly because I have not been feeling nothing but tired all the time, and I have a pretty dangerously low, low blood pressure. The blood pressure thing is something ( Read more... )

Hey Nikki! Hang in there!
I have super-low blood pressure too.. is this a problem? I'll look into it!
Even me, the skinniest girl ever, is worried about my weight in Japan. I guess just being "different" from anyone else makes you think about how you look. I really fear getting fat. I don't want it to start! And with Yossi around, my eating style has totally changed. I used to have a rule - no eating before bed. I didn't think anything of it, I'd eat dinner at work, then come home and do whatever and sleep. Now I come home and Yossi has cooked a 2 course meal for me. That means no more eating dinner at work. So I started totally snacking on chocolate. Holy shit there is a candy store RIGHT in front of my work. Between that and Yossi, there's a nice layer of あぶら between my skin and my abs now. So watching my eating habbits has led to a few realizations.
1. You can get used to eating snacks, but you can get used to not eating snacks too.
2. Chosing to eat is pretty useful. I don't eat before dinner now, I always go to the SAME restaurant for lunch and order only one thing, no sides, and I do not put sugar or milk in my tea. It's something I just decided to do every day.
3. Don't ever buy anything at a convenient store or vending machine!!!! Those places are dangerous. Whenever I'm craving something and I see a vending machine I think to myself - You can buy one at the grocery store later, it's cheaper there, you are saving money! And then by the time I'm at the store later, the craving has passed.

Also, winter kills me.. all I want is warm, warm fatty food... ahg... Yossi has recently been buying sausages instead of real meat because it's cheaper, and I need to tell him to stop that!!
