According to a news item posted on ANN (that I somehow totally missed when it was first posted), Ashita no Nadja is listed among a number of titles from Toei that are currently being dubbed into English for release in the US! Take a look:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-09-21/toei-william-winckler-prod-rioloco-dub-23+features They call it "The Adventures of Nadja" and seem to have split it up into 2 seasons.
OMG, I am crazy excited! All sorts of questions immediately come to mind -- will this be dub only? Who is the dub cast? (They mention one cast member so far). Is this truly licensed, or just a demo that is being shopped around? Either way, chances for a Region 1 release in some form or other suddenly look a lot better!
Woo hoo! :D
EDIT: I should make clear that this isn't a release of the full TV series (though who knows, this may be possible?) but rather, what looks to be two feature-length films made from spliced-together episodes. At this point, it's probably better than nothing, and I am curious to see what filler they would cut out. And who knows, maybe someday we'll get a real release...
