My life for all intensive purposes is great. I am happily married (one year married in like 15 days), I am not homeless, I am fed (even if it is Ramen/cereal only towards the end of the month), and I am close to my loving family and friends.

However, I have to bitch and moan so follow the cut to read it woo hoo! )

Anyway, I totally know what it's like to be poor ALL THE TIME and to feel guilty for being a full-time student who doesn't contribute to the income. Just keep your eye on the prize and remember that when you're done with school you'll be able to have a job in which you earn a higher income than you would have been able to otherwise.
Also, I don't know if you do this already, but I highly recommend the Grocery Outlet. The savings really make it worth the trip out to Vallejo. Also, the 99 Cent Store (which I think is on Springs Road) has a fair amount of produce and other food items.
As far as your electric bill, that seems really unlikely that your studio would generate that high of charges, so I would call them and see if there's been some kind of mistake, or if they can tell you what's causing that to happen.
Sorry for the novel.

You are right, and I totally KNOW THAT IN MY HEART OF HEARTS but it is still depressing.
Thanks for all the money advice! <3

Also does your school have on-campus jobs that you could consider? Most schools have jobs that will work with your schedule.

On campus jobs are only available to students who live on campus.

Word on grocery outlet/winco/food for less/food max. You can seriously get a shit ton of groceries for like $30. Def check out that stupid PG&E bill bc that shit aint right.
Picnic hikes can be super romantic and fairly cheap, you could always go up to Napa area or Mt Diablo and have a nice picnic hike. Gas wouldn't b too much since its not too far. If you do Napa there's no bridge toll. And if you hit up safeway ya'll can eat for $5. Also there are free wine tasting places, you just have to hunt them down.
Also, my roommates rave about this groupon thing where you get hella discounts on all kinds of shit, I don't have one but I hear it's legit (and subscription is free).
You'll look back on these times and say to yourself "Being a newly wed in such hard economic times was difficult, but it really proved how strong our bond and marriage was/is"
Chin up =)

We really need to check out those cheaper grocery stores.
We def. wanna go on a hike for our anniversary!
I do have Groupon and I love it but lately it's been hard to even afford that... like ANYTHING extra (like nail polish remover!) has to be really considered before purchase.
Fo real... we've already survived insanity so I think we're in this for the long haul.
I ruv you.
