Why does my mind betray me?
In dreams that shouldn't be
There is no light behind me
I still can see
Someone once forgotten
A past I do not need
So often memories find us
Then fill us with hopes lost behind us.
A circle of limbo surrounding
A trap I cant evade
So my mind betrays me
One I want forgotten
Lurking in my dream
