My Review of the 8th movie: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew

Wow...... *______*

That was the most beautiful movie I've ever seen!! I almost cried after I saw it!!!!

Also, this is now my favorite Pokemon movie. I never thought any Pokemon movie would top the second one (2000 was always my favorite until now)......

But this movie was simply amazing.

I loved every single minute of it.

And I have to admit, I haven't had this much fun watching a Pokemon movie since those times when I saw the first 3 movies in the theater. (nothing really beats seeing a Pokemon movie on the big screen, it gives you an amazing feeling).

However, this movie, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, brought back that feeling for me. Not in the sense that I was watching it on a big screen or anything (I don't have a TV that big, lol). But, it brought back that same amount of excitement I had, and that is priceless.

I mean, first of all, I was completely captivated by this movie's story. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.

And I liked all the new characters this movie introduced, especially Sir Aaron. With his black hair, and his great personality, he did seem like an older Ash to me, lol. XD Oh, and I really liked Lucario too. He's a great Pokemon. And throughout the movie, I felt so bad for him and everything. And yeah, I also liked Kid too. She was cool! And the guy who she worked for, Banks, was very funny too. XD

As for the animation, it was wonderful! I also loved all the funny lines everyone had. And of course, all the voice actors did a fantastic job! This movie showed just how important they really are to me!

So no matter what, I will make SOVA succeed! I must make this happen as soon as possible!

Woah, sorry about that. I got a bit carried away about SOVA. The movie must've made me very determined or something (or maybe that was Ash?). ^^o

Still, SOVA aside, I'm sure two other factors probably had a huge impact on my opinion of this movie as well.

Naturally, those two factors would be:

1. Ash was the main human character in this movie. So obviously, I'm gonna love a Pokemon movie even more if it's centered on him. XD

2. Ash and Pikachu's relationship was emphasized so much in this movie (I didn't expect to see that flashback of the first episode, or to see Ash explain to his friends what happened with the flock of Spearow - that was one of my favorite scenes). And I'm sure everyone knows that I like Ash and Pikachu's relationship. In fact, I like it so much, that Pikashipping is my favorite ship. XD

Oh, and besides that scene I mentioned, there's another one I liked more than anything.

This particular scene is my favorite because it touched me, the sad and emotional way many Pokemon episodes and movies have done (although, most of this movie was very touching indeed, but one part seemed to stand out to me more than anything else).

It was when Ash started using his Aura and nearly sacrificed himself to save Mew, the tree, and all the Pokemon living there.

And you know what, he has such a kind heart and everything, that I knew he would be willing to do something like that (and in the movies, doesn't that make this the third time he's sacrificed himself and "almost" died doing it? poor guy, the writers never give him a break, do they? ^^ ).

But wouldn't you know it, just as Ash did something very brave and heroic like that, in the nick of time Lucario goes and does something just as great, by pushing Ash out of the way and saving him from using all his Aura (and going into suspended animation/dying like Sir Aaron did). That was so beautiful.

Although I feel bad that Lucario had to end up like that, I'm happy knowing he might meet up with Aaron again someday. And I thought it was sweet how they even showed Lucario with Aaron in the end credits.

Anyway, overall, I don't really have to say this since it's implied, but I will anyway......

Everything about Lucario and the Mystery of Mew was perfect, and all of it came together to make this the best Pokemon movie I have ever seen.
