For five years beginning in 1999, I owned and operated an online retail store that sold fine plush animals. Thanks for sharing this narrated pictorial through your times there! I had thought it was more of a storefront, but now I can revise my memories of it being an office. The big ole internet was just getting thriving, with Netscape 2 and 3 being the top browsers I think!

It was the only job I ever had where I couldn't wait to go to work every day! Loved staying overnight, too, even though it was noisy and I only had a cot to sleep on. If only there had been a shower there, I might not have gone home for days! Truly, those were the happiest, most fulfilling years of my life.

The old building's exterior had so much more character. I guess that was the thinking at the time. Old is out and space=age modern is in!

Yes, as much as I loved the place, even I had to admit the building was hideous. They made a big mistake modernizing it. The remodeled exterior was utterly soulless, and it only got worse as it weathered and faded over the years. It became such a hated eyesore that when the building started to have obvious problems, they gave no thought to restoring it, only tearing it down.
