I found my long-lost dissecting kit! (Not really 'lost' - I knew I still had it somewhere - I just couldn't find it in my house for about 10 years.) 😉 This is actually over a half-century old! My mom made the roll-up case for me when I was in Mr. Duncan's high school biology class in 1969-1970. Came in even more handy in grad school in the Eighties when I took human and comparative anatomy.
*chuckle* As you might guess, the obvious overkill of this thing often made me the object of ridicule. Even my fellow staff in the vertebrate lab at HSU used to jokingly call me "The Reanimator" because of my fancy saw-bones toolkit and the fact that I insisted on wearing a white lab coat, goggles and gloves while doing necropsies. Hey, once a nerd, always a nerd!
Not that I'll ever have another use for the kit now, it's just nice to see it again. 🙂
