I made excellent use of my Big Christmas Present (a mini DV wide screen video camera in blue steel steel blue) and I video-taped our Christmas Eve party.

I have a wonderful, WONDERFUL shot of my dad's friend Brad explaining the origins of the Betty Crocker Holiday Loaf (five foods no one likes separately, layered between bread that has been dyed red and green, coated in cream cheese. It is the singularly most disgusting thing I have ever seen, Brad makes it EVERY YEAR and I have never eaten any of it). I also have a great shot of Brad setting the plum pudding on fire and a sequence of everyone singing carols. I'm not sure how well the carols turned out, because we were all in a circle, but whatever!
I also videoed everyone playing this really fun game called "Ricky-Ticky Bear," in which you bang spoons on the floor, moving them around in a circle, as you sing a song. It's hard to explain without spoons in front of you, but I'll probably show you guys the video as soon as I get it edited :p
Last, but certainly not least, I got a section of my father reading the Christmas story :)

It was a lovely Christmas, and I hope everyone else's holidays are going well!
