So yesterday was pretty amazing. This is typed under the pretense that someone cares about how the show went last night: We (Corinne,Matthew, Will, and I) got there around six and got a space right up front against the barrier (which was a good thing and a bad thing, I guess.)We met Edric and Josie and Alex there as well but unfortunately got separated after MewithoutYou. MewithoutYou came on first and they were excellent. They are an incredible band and have perhaps some of the greatest lyrics ever, in my opinion. Not to mention they had very cool costumes (the guitarist was a tree, the singer a rabbit(?), the drummer a nurse and so on). So they're set was awesome. Dregj came on next and they were okay I guess, aside from a mind numbing base line that never really changed. But oh well, the guys voice was nice and I'm sure they sound better on CD.(Dregj were all dressed as clowns which was funny because the mewithoutyou guy said during his set that insane clown posse was playing next so yeah, fun stuff and the drummer who was dressed like a nurse crowd surfed a lot, which was amusing). Then the Blood Brothers came on and the whole "bad thing" about being right in front against the barrier thingy starts to take effect. We almost were crushed to death but, the set was good. I knew most of the songs really well but not quite well enough to not mind getting crushed. And they played foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrr, but even at that, they're set did, eventually, end. Then of course was the token 30 minites of what we deemed "suspense" before the main band went on. Coheed and Cambria were fucking incredible, to say the least. So incredible that we didn't mind being crushed so much by the stupid crowd, but they got better as the show progressed.Unfortunately Coheed didn't dress up which made me sad because I had this awesome dream about Claudio dressing up as frankenstein...anyway. They even played Devil in Jersey City (the first Coheed song I ever heard) and Delrium Trigger (One of my all time favorites) and of course the played In keeping secrets during the encore and The Final Cut (with a fifteen minute guitar solo but it's okay, it was good anyway) We could see Will on the balcony and it looks like he was having a great time, so that's good. And Corinne and Matthew were fun to be with and I loved the music, so to some it up: excellent. So it was an amazing Halloween, I hope everyone else had fun as well. <3
