DAY 16: EPISODE YOU LIKED THAT EVERYONE ELSE HATES

When i finished watching this series in early 08 and discovered fandom a little while later, i was shocked, SHOCKED that this episode is considered one of the worst episodes of the series. How? What? How? I was really quite disappointed. I thought this episode was so funny! Sure it's not the best episode, not by a long shot, but i thought more people would appreciate the subtle nod at things to come.
I found it interesting that even in this state Buffy would care about helping people, her slayer instinct seems to run deeper then her human one. I also see parallels between her and the First Slayer. It is our first glimpse of what the Slayer was and what she has evolved to be. Like the vampires she hunts, the Slayer has adapted and grown as her prey has. I see beer bad Buffy as pure Slayer, as she would have been when the Slayer was first activated.
Also, Cavewoman would beat Astronauts every time.
