30 DAY'S OF BUFFY
DAY 1: FAVOURITE SEASON
SEASON 2
It's hard for me to explain just want makes this season so memorable to me, but i surpose it's a combination of the storyline, the character growths and the Big Bad's. Spike, Drusilla and later Angelus played a huge part in my love for this season. Spike and Dru have such a great chemisty and bring a great dynamic to the show. Finally a villian we can love to hate! Who you are both rooting for and cursing at the same time. When we are first introduced to Angelus, and we see the scene in the factory with him, Spike and Drusilla you know this series is just getting started. Seeing DB playing a mood other then broody is a hoot. His voice over is 'Passion' is both chilling and beautiful.
SMG owns this season with how she plays Buffy, giving everything to such emotional scenes. 'Innocence', 'I Only Have Eyes for You' and 'Becoming Pt 2' immediatly come to mind.
But we cannot forget our other characters. Finally we get to see Giles other then a stuffy librarian in 'The Dark Age', Willow starts to come out of her shell, becoming interested in magic and finally being the main player in restoring Angel's soul. Cordelia and Xander continue to bicker and make out in the broom closet. And we are introduced to one of my fav characters, Oz.
Season 2 has some of the best episodes, the best overall storyline and the best villians. I believe the finale is also one of the strongest. Buffy sending Angel to hell is a scene that never fails to make me cry.
I love season 2!
