The Robber Strikes Again!

Oooooh buddy, I hope Karma comes and smacks you in the face! Andrew, casually wondering why his balance in his bank account was lower than he thought it would be (we have been writing a lot of wedding checks recently, so he didn't think too much about it at first), looked online to see what was up. A $1500 check was written and cashed - written in a handwriting not even close to Andrew's scrawl. FIFTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS. The douche even labeled it "for car repairs." The check had an address at the top that was three addresses old for Andrew - a very old check book, indeed, that must of been hiding in some deep recess of his back pack. Andrew immediately called the bank, and our money was returned to us (thank God!). A stop has been put all checks that have that address. It makes me a bit worried though...my mom had her purse stolen a while back, and checks written from her checkbook by Mr. Thief. The bank also told her that her account would be watched...only to have more checks written and pass through. My mom's the one that actually caught the damn things. So I'm worried, but at the same time I'm not that worried, especially since the bank gave us our $1500 back so quickly. Maybe this bank is better than the one my mom uses. I'm also worried that Andrew might have had other stuff in the giant back pack of his that he doesn't remember having. What, I'm not sure, but we never thought of an old check book from waaay back when. So what else haven't we thought of? It's enough to make a girl nervous. In a week Andrew should have information from the bank on which bank the guy withdrew the money from - then he can contact them (or the burglary investigator Andrew talked to today - it pays to work for the District Attorney) and get the video tapes of the guy withdrawing the money. I'm not sure that all that will lead anywhere, but wouldn't it be cool if it did? After all those times you are victimized, or someone you know, and the freaking guy who did it is never caught - wouldn't it would be so awesome if for once they were? (sigh) I'm a bit pessimistic about his capture, but here's to hopin'!
