WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH AMERICANS?!?
Get off your collective asses and help! I know not all of you are idiots, I'm merely ranting about the majority here, teh collective american consiousness if you will.
The large portion of combined usa based intelect that throws billions of dollars into making a new war toy NOW cause they need it NOW rather than transfering those much needed funds to a relief effort THE SECOND the hurricane hit.
The portion of america that is looting and pillaging and shooting relief workers that are TRYING TO HELP YOU YOU STUPID FUCKS!!!
The portion that is being so uncaring about the country that they are "leading", yes I use that term VERY loosely these days, that a soldier from the front lines of bagdad says that new orleans today is worse than anything he saw in the gulf.
I guess I'm a little bitter because of all the places that could have been leveled, New orleans is about the least deserving. Its the one place that rarely discriminates, is laid back and generally lives and lets live. I'm 2 parts apalled that its not being rebuilt already because the woefully inadequite help was sent too little much too late and people were desperate and stupid enough and HAD THE TIME TO THINK OF IT to start destroying everything that was left, and so now its a war zone instead of a city in need of aid... And one part disapointed because this city, the one I had a modicum of respect for of all the cities in the U S of A, I sort of expected better of its people. I would have expected this shit in LA or Las Vagas or any number of other places. The least they could do is steal something usefull like canned food. I have trouble getting my head around what would drive someone to kill and hurt other people in such a shit situation, for a game boy (useless without batteries or if its wet), A TV (where the FUCK are ya gonna plug it in for fucks sake?!?), and simmilar crap.
I really should know better than to hope that one day I can stop being mortified to be part of the human species :-(
