Tolkien film: Viewer beware.
I haven't seen the movie yet. I probably will end up seeing it, but there's this important caveat for JRRT fans:

A representative for the family also said that none of them have even seen the movie yet and the “statement wasn't regarding any particular scene or element of the story, adding that the estate had been approached about biopics in the past without ever giving its approval.”
So, take that for what it's worth. I am currently reading 'Tolkien and the Great War' which is very good.
