Today I learned he vetoed the "Teach Our Kids To Smoke", or rather, the "Poor Kids Health Care Program". I couldn't be more delighted. Sure, I know he didn't do it to keep my smokes at the currently overly-extorted prices they are, rather than something worse, but that's the effect.
I'm thrilled. Sin taxes have been used for too long to force a tiny minority to support the overall majority. It's heartening to know that at least one person in power has figured this, if nothing else, out.
Btw, I'm a registered Republican now. Congradulations, dems. You did it this time.
