A Soundtrack of Life

Jermaine posted a bulletin about the song that was no. 1 the day you were born. Now the way the site is organised to find out is by day, then you scroll through the years. So, I thought, what would be on a list if I put the number one song on for each major event in my life? This is what it would look like...

"Upside Down" by Diana Ross (The approx. date I was conceived)
"Bette Davis Eyes" by Kim Carnes (The day I was born)
"What's Love Got to do with It" by Tina Turner (My first day of school)
"Let's Go Crazy" by Prince and the Revolution (The day my little brother was born)
"The Flame" by Cheap Trick (approx. date we moved to Cambridge)
"Sweet Child o' Mine" by Guns 'n' Roses (first day at Sandy Hill and massive culture shock)
"Don't Worry, Be Happy" by Bobby McFarrin (day I got my first pair of glasses)
"Toy Soldiers" by Markita (day Grandma Rhoda died and my first day at Summer Camp)
"Freak Me" by Silk (approx. when I met Nicole)
"You are not Alone" by The Guy who has no nose (first day of High School)
"Mo Money Mo Problems" by Notorius BIG (fist day at Wal-Mart)
"If you Had my Love" by Jennifer Lopez (day I graduated)
"Bailamos" by Enrique Iglesias (first day at BU)
"Maria Maria" by Santana (beginning of first adult relationship)
"All for You" by Janet Jackson (erm, let's just say I was really celebrating Easter, also, last day at BU)
"Shake ya Tailfeather" by Nelly, P. Diddy and Murphy Lee (end of first adult relationship)
"We Belong Together" by Mariah Carey (day Jason and Sarah married)
"Gold Digger" by Kanye West (last day at Wal-Mart, beginning of unemployment and pavement pounding (because that's what you do when you're unemployed. You look for a new job, and that sort of becomes your job.))
"Check on it" by Beyonce (first day at Lowe's, end of unemployment stint)
"You're Beautiful" by James Blunt (approx. when I met Josh and Ruben)
"Irreplaceable" by Beyonce (beginning of my relationship with Josh)
