THIS IS THE MOST AMAZINGEST AMAZING THING EVER/AND THEN SOME RAMBLING
1) Jesse Eisenberg narrating a book about teenage girls. (go listen to the sample - go on!)
SUMMARY:
Jeremy Heere is your average high school dork. Day after day he stares at beautiful Christine, the girl he can never have, and dryly notes the small humiliations that come his way, until the day he is told about the "squip". A pill-sized supercomputer that you swallow, the squip is guaranteed to bring you whatever you most desire in life. 2) IloveJesse! He's awesome in Zombieland and awesome in The Social Network and I'm sure he's awesome in everything else he's done. I saw that short called Some Boys Don't Leave (download here) and was simultaneously creeped out and sad.
3) Zombieland is pretty much the only zombie movie I can stand to watch (and Shaun of the Dead - I love that movie), but I love zombies so much (it's the whole apocalypse/end of society as we know it thing). Just recently I've been watching The Walking Dead TV show, but I totally need a friend with me when I do. It's really well done, beautifully filmed and so, so gory. The only thing I'm not sure of is the weird love triangle thing going on between the main character, his wife and his best friend - it's really not working for me. But the zombies were so good in this - and then they cast NORMAN REEDUS.
4) BTW, the opening sequence of Hawaii 5-0 is like my absolute dream scene. International terrorist NORMAN REEDUS is captured by (good looking) agents, but his brother JAMES F**KING MARSTERS is about to launch a rescue. The rest of the series is good too with the whole Danny/Steve lovefest, but if they had stuck with that I could've died happy.
5) Back to Zombieland. This fandom does porn pretty damn well (also, bad ass older guy and hero worshipping, awkward younger guy go on a bloody - literally - road trip together? Road trip smex!)
