Her name is Rose. As in Rose Tyler, from Doctor Who. Because she looks like her, as much as a kitten can.
His name is Rudy. As in Rude Boy. Because he is. In a good, kitten sort of way.
The Geek and Ska aspects of me have been satisfied. In celebration, I've added about 20 more pics here: http://gallery.mac.com/ashearstone#100103
She got close to being a Phoenix, but Rose just fits to a T. And he was almost a Jonesy, and that may occasionally still be a nickname, because when will I get another chance to name a cat that's likely to grow up looking like the cat from Alien? They're kittens to go back for.
Starbuck & Spike were also top runners in the name game. But in the end, with the Smudge around, I wanted some other consonants. And somehow Rose & Rudy really suit orange cats.
I'm certain I have taken over 500 pictures. How did we survive before digital cameras?
