The Saga of the Coat

Feb 07, 2010 11:04

Well, friends.

Here's what happened last night. Shall we have a sit-down and chat? Great. Wonderful. Here we go.

Before I delve into the drama, let me give some supporting information. Two months ago, at my birthday party, this...unfortunately promiscuous, egocentric person by the name of Heather Chisholm left her coat at my apartment. Except it wasn't really her coat, it was her sister's. The very next day, I told her she could come by to get it, on at least two occasions. She was too lazy to come and get it, so of course it never happened.

Two months pass without her getting the coat. We got into a fight (because she went and told NUMEROUS people that I up and moved to Iowa when I was just on vacation, a bald-faced, ridiculous lie if I've ever seen one, considering that we had been texting each other while I was in Iowa, and I told her I was on vacation. She tried to blame this obnoxiousness on another person when I called her out.)and I ended up telling her that evening that I'm not going to be a petty little bitch about the coat, and that of course she can still come and get it.

Her delightfully mature response was that I ought to leave the coat with a mutual friend.

Of course, this peeved me. I told her, quite calmly, that we're going to be seeing each other by default anyways, as we go to the same parties and whatnot, and that she ought to own up to the fact that I'm not just going to disappear out of her life entirely. She insisted that she has "new friends" and that she "hopes she never sees me again", and eventually told me to keep the coat, because she didn't have balls enough to come get it herself.

Fine. Whatever. Sweet deal, I got a new coat.

Last night, at like ten o'clock, I get a text from her, asking when she can come get her sister's coat.

LOL!!

I told her that she said I could keep it, and that she really ought to take responsibility for the things she says. I also said that she threw her little sister under the bus by saying that I could keep the coat.

So what does this amazing female do? One would think that she would, you know, be an ADULT and say something like "I'm sorry I acted that way, I was wrong, could you please give me the coat back? It's my sister's?"

Nope.

She sics her boyfriend on me.

He tells me that he's going to call his uncle, who's a cop, and that he's going to show up at my apartment tomorrow to press charges against me.

LOLWUT?!?!

I told him to go ahead and call the cops.

Of course the situation exploded and hurtful things were said by both parties, but this idiot seriously made up laws or some shit to try and intimidate me. It got to the point where they pissed me off/hurt me so much with their lies that I decided that I'm completely done with the both of them. Not giving them the coat would mean that I would have to deal with ridiculousness for months on end, so I told them to just come and get the goddamn thing.

So that's the saga of the coat. I'm choosing to blog this shit because I think that other people would be just as amused by the high school bullshit as I am :D This is my life, folks. One dramatic situation after anther.

wtf, lol, drama
